The Triffic Trail is an annual trail running event organised by Trent Park Running Club, held within the scenic Trent Country Park in Enfield, North London. The popular annual race has been running since 1985.

The event is inclusive, and we welcome elite competitors, casual runners, juniors, and fun runners alike. Senior and junior races are all available on the day, so bring the whole family along!

Location:

Trent Country Park, Enfield, London. The location is easily accessible on foot from Cockfosters Underground Station (Piccadilly Line).

If you’re driving, there’s plenty of parking available on site. Trent Park is located just 2 miles from Junction 24 of the M25 to the north and 3 miles from the North Circular to the south.

Races & Distances

The Triffic Trail offers both senior and junior races:

• 10km Trail Race: the main senior event for ages 16+
• 5km Junior Race: for under-16s
• 2km Fun Run: for under-12s

Course

The route stays entirely within Trent Park, featuring woodland trails, open fields, gentle hills, and some paved sections. It is entirely traffic free. The senior and junior races are fully marshalled along the entire course along with clear signage. They are held under UK Athletics and Trail Running Association rules.

The race is chip-timed with online results on the day, and we offer free downloadable photos after the event. We provide water stations on the course and first-aid support on the day. A manned baggage drop is available in the race village.

Some sections of this natural environment are woodland trails with narrow routes and uneven ground. Ground conditions could change rapidly in wet weather causing muddy and slippery conditions. Trail shoes are advisable in wet or muddy conditions. The route has been assessed as not suitable or safe for buggies or wheel chairs. Also, due to the number of runners in restricted spaces dogs will not be permitted.

Trophies and medals

Trophies will be presented to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd finishers respectively in the Senior, Vet and Super Vet categories (Male and Female) and to the first 60+ male and female finishers.

Trophies will also be awarded to the first male and female finishers who break the course record. The trophy ceremony will take place at 12:00 noon in the finish area.

All runners will receive a medal upon completion of the race, and a high-quality technical T-shirt is available to purchase at registration.

• £26 for UK Athletics or Trail Runners Association affiliated runners
• £28 for unaffiliated runners
